Injury has prevented world No.66 Nick Kyrgios from playing in the Rotterdam Open for the third time in four years.
The Canberra tennis star pulled out of the Dutch tournament due to a knee injury.
He tested his knee playing doubles with USA’s Mitchell Kreuger at the Dallas Challenger last week, where they bowed out in the first round, and has decided to pull the pin on Rotterdam.
He also withdrew from the 2016 and 2018 editions due to injury.
Kyrgios is scheduled to play in the Delray Beach Open and the Acapulco Open next.
«Nick Kyrgios had his knee examined last week. He played a doubles game to test the state of his recovery, but it proved to be insufficient. For that reason he is not able to participate in Rotterdam again this year,» tournament director Richard Krajicek said.
