The Montreal SPCA is trying to locate the person responsible for leaving a dog tied to a tree in Angrignon Park. The lifeless dog was found on Tuesday by a woman walking her two dogs in the park.
Animal protection officers recovered the dog’s body, which had been buried under the snow, and took the animal to the SPCA, the organization said in a Facebook post.
The dog, named “Henri” by the SPCA staff, is a large, unsterilized adult male dog with drooping ears. His fur is predominantly grey with some white on the chest and around the neck. A veterinarian is examining the dog to try to determine how it died.
The SPCA has opened an investigation into the death and is seeking the public’s help to identify the person responsible.
